Neelakrurinji  bloom is  one of the most crowd pulling natural phenomenon in Kerala is about unveil in the year 2018.  The botanical name of Neelakurinji is Strobilanthes Kunthianus. The rolling hills will soon be covered in blue carpet as the millions of blue  flowers bloom together. This miraculous event of Neelakurnji bloom can be witnessed between the months of July 2018 and October 2018. 

 

There are 46 verities of Neelakurinji plants in India out of which 40 are found in Munnar, which has the largest concentration of  Neeakurinji plants. Eravikulam National Park is the main flowering area of the Neelkarnji, apart from this area Kanthalloor also has mass blooming of Neelakurinji in 2018. Kanthallor is located 55 kilometres from Munnar. Top station and Mattupetty dam area are some of tyhe main areas where the flowers are expected to bloom in mass.
