Have you ever wondered from where did the movie writers and animators get the inspiration to create beautiful and blockbuster movies?  Have you ever wondered is it possible to visits those dreamy destinations in the fictional movies?   Most of these movies derive their inspiration from the nature and it is possible to travel to those beautiful location.  These are travel destination which are beautiful than the ones in your dreams, destinations that matches your wildest imaginations.

If you have seen the Life of pie then it is hard to forget the glowing sea, glowing whale and the Island.  The animators got inspired by the glowing beaches around the world.  Maldives is famous for its beaches but it has a hidden secret, which is a glowing beach. The movie sleeping beauty features a royal castle which really takes our breath away, that castle is not just fiction but it’s a real castle which exists in Germany.  The Neuschwanstein castle was created King Ludwig II in 1864, he was the king of Bavaria. Now the castle attracts a large number of travellers from around the world, the movie has booster the image of the castle. Travellers can visit the place with the assistance of guides and there are entry fees to see this castle.  Bavaria is home to few other castles but the Neuschwanstein castle is a must see destination in Bavaria.

The Disney movie Beauty and the beast features a village square which was inspired by Alsace, a picturesque tourist spot in Eastern France. Alsace is beautiful place to see in Eastern France, it is rich in history and culture which attracts thousands of travellers every year. Tangled was the 50th animated movie of Walt Disney, the movie is based on the German fairy tale called Rapunzel. The movie  features a huge castle in which the parents of Rapunzel lives, that castle did not come out of imagination of an artist instead it was inspired by the Mont Saint-Michel castle in Normandy, France.  This wonderful castle before and after the movie attracts a large number of travellers and it is a must see destination in France.  The castle sits on an Island commune in Normandy which is located in the estuary of river Couesnon River in Avranches. The island has a size of 100 acres and has a population of 44, the castle is one of the important landmarks of France, and it has been listed in UNESCO heritage site.

Pixar and Walt Disney co-produced the magnificent movie called Up, which reaped a staggering amount $731 million.  It is hard to forget the destination in the map where Carl Frederickson in Up wants to settle down, the big waterfall with panoramic view of the surrounding place, his destination is called Angel Falls. The Angel falls in Venezuela is the highest uninterrupted water fall in the world. This water fall is crowd puller which attracts millions of travellers every year.  This waterfall has height of 3212 feet which makes it a must see destination in Venezuela, it is located in the Auyantepui mountain in Canaima National park. Do not miss this incredible waterfall, if you ever travel to Venezuela.

One of the world wonders inspired the movie Aladdin one that touched the childhood of almost every one alive at the moment. The movie features the Sultan’s Palace which was inspired by the Taj Mahal of India.  Taj Mahal a must see destination in India attracts millions of travellers from around the world. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Chateau De Chillon the medieval fortress has inspired the movie location of Little Mermaid.   This fairy tale perfect island castle is one of the most visited castles in Switzerland. This iconic landmark attracts thousands of tourists every year and is a must see destination in Switzerland.  The castle is located on Lake Geneva in the Cantone of Vaud.

The 2012 movie Brave tells the story of a princess named Merida who goes against the tradition, which collected an amount of $539 million.  The royal castle in the animated movie is said to have been inspired by the Eilean Donan Castle of Scotland.  This picturesque castle built in 13th century is a major tourist attraction of the area.  The castle was restored in the year 1932, this Scottish landmark located in the Eilean Donan Island is must see destination.

Cars is an unforgettable movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios, some scenes in the movie are inspired by the real destinations in Texas such as Monument valley, Cadillac ranch and U-Drop Inn. This iconic landscape of America is a heaven for travellers. Texas is blessed with beautiful landscape and Monument valley is a must see place in Texas.

Antarctic Covered in ice sheet which is more than 2.16 km thick since the beginning of the Ice age, this hostile landscape on Earth has inspired the movie Ice Age. This destination so hostile that only the tough travellers can experience the magnificent landscape. Even though it is a must see destination in the world, the impact of tourism on the environment of the Antarctica is not yet known.  This is one particular place which has direct influence on every living organisms on earth, but still thousands of tourist’s visits this destination. But the question remains is it ethical to visit these kind of immaculate places.

James Cameron’s Avatar was an epic movie which featured some of the fantastic fantasy landscapes.   The floating mountains of Pandora was inspired by the zhangjiajie national forest park.  This peculiar forest is located in the Northern Huan province in China. This zhangjiajie national forest park is a must see destination in Huan which attracts thousands of tourists every year.
