Fort Kochi beach (Cochin)Back

 Fort Kochi is a perfect mix of old colonial days and the new styles of youth who expresses their views through graffiti and artworks. Along the beach, travellers can find the famous Chinese  fishing nets lined up and these are perfect for travel photographers. These nets are replica of those used during the times of Chinese ruler Kublai Khan. These nets, at the entrance of the harbour and along the backwaters with pivots of wood, were introduced by traders from the court of Kublai Khan in 1350AD.They can be seen all along the backwaters of Kerala. Kochi is the only place in India where you can spot these Chinese fishing nets. The Fort cochin beach is a beautiful beach with golden sands, palm trees and the Chinese fishing nets makes it a picture perfect when the sun sinks in the ocean.  The menu in Kochi varies from Perfect Pasta to the typical Kerala sea food, and the area has  various hotels and home stays that is ready to serve the travellers.
